Detaching your old bathroom faucet:
First, turn off the water supply. Then open the faucet to discharge the air though the water-supply lines. Detach your old faucet and apply the supply lines. Use WD40 or Zep 45 lubricant if the lines are corroded and remove the old sealant with a putty knife.
Installing new bathroom faucet:
Assemble the faucet as per the given instructions in the kit. Then apply the silicone caulk around the traces of the old faucet. Insert the faucet into the base and press it down with firm but gentle pressure. Be sure it fits in the valves correctly. Tighten the basin nuts evenly over the gasket and check the position of the faucet. Draw it to the center position gently if necessary, then screw the mount nuts onto the tailpieces of the faucet, beneath the sink using a wrench.
Connect the water supply:
It’s time to connect the faucet with the water-supply valves. Attach the supply lines to the faucet and the valves. Eradicate the excess putty from the faucet base.
Check the working of the new bathroom faucet:
After your successful installation, you need to check for the leaks or any other problems. Turn on the water supply and let it run for few minutes. This will release all the air from the faucet and any remaining materials present inside the valves or faucet.
